Hi, I’m Billie.
As a watercolor artist, I focus on capturing the details and quiet moments of everyday life, with a special interest in automobiles and scenes that might seem ordinary at first but hold so much meaning when you really look. My work is rooted in realism—whether it’s the way sunlight hits a car’s chrome or the texture of a quiet street corner, I’m fascinated by how these small, familiar moments can tell a bigger story.
Watercolor allows me to explore the subtleties of light and color in a way that feels both immediate and fluid. I enjoy how the medium forces me to work with the unexpected—embracing the way the paint flows and blends to create something fresh every time. It’s this balance between control and spontaneity that makes the process so rewarding.
Through my paintings, I hope to encourage others to slow down and notice the beauty in their surroundings. My aim isn’t just to recreate a scene, but to share a sense of connection with the everyday things we might take for granted. Whether it’s the shine of a car’s surface or the feeling of a familiar place, I want my work to remind viewers of the richness in the world around us.
